The FreqInOut FO1 is a user-friendly hardware interface with 4 audio inputs and outputs that connect to a computer via USB-C.
FreqlnOut allows users to seamlessly integrate outboard audio gear, directly into preferred audio software via its hardware matrix.
It’s perfect for engineers and producers wanting to use outboard gear with least amount of hassle, removing the complexity of routing and cabling setup, removes inconsistent timing issues when recording, and enables you to process multiple signals simultaneously.
Finally, the interface is expandable and allows you to add four or eight more I/O features a Mid-Side mode, a Hardware Mix for parallel processing, and sports top-tier ESS 32 bit converters with support for up to 192kHz sample rates.
FreqInOut turns your outboard equipment into plugins in your DAW!
How does it work?
The FreqInOut couldn’t be easier to use. Just plug it in with a single USB cable, install the software, power up, open the interface, and connect your outboard equipment, and get to work! All the complexity in setting up external effect and instruments inside your DAW has been removed.
The built-in hardware Matrix allows you to reconfigure the signal flow through your outboard equipment and does so without adding latency. You can even capture your hardware settings by scanning a QR Code and create a custom skin inside the plug-in. Pretty cool, right?
With FreqInOut, you can bring all you real outboard processors, effects and instruments into your mix effortlessly. Whether enabling M/S mode, utilizing Hardware Mix for parallel processing, or fine-tuning your gain staging, the Freqport FreqInOut Fo1 interface lets you do all that and more.
Multiple analog processing circuits allow you to process more than one audio signal at the same time within your workflow, something that is impossible with single-circuit analog processors. It all adds up to a unit with improved efficiency that will save you time.

This thing turned out like I hoped it would! I was waiting for the FreqiInOut’s release since it was announced and I am not disappointed at all: It was set up in about 5 minutes after unboxing and JUST WORKS. Simple as that. Even though I have only a small hybrid studio I rely on analog hardware for certain things, some experimental, some just the usual mixing stuff. I had been looking at digitally controlled patch bays like Flock Audio or CB Electronics but those are very expensive and don’t solve the task of having all your stuff available as a simple plugin that’s also handling all the processing. The FreqInOut is a small powerful box and I am already considering buying a second unit.
I recommend getting one of these if you ever thought about adding analog EQs, even guitar pedals, to your DAW workflow.
Even if you already have an analog patch bay this will give you some more flexibility when you add the ins and outs to your environment. Love it!

This product is a dream come true. I am running OS X Catalina on a 12 year old MacBook and my FreqInOut worked perfectly out of the box with a USB adaptor in an older version of Logic Pro. I have a handful of outboard gear and this thing makes incorporating it into my workflow a pleasure instead of a chore. Brilliant!

This is pure magic. I started using my ourboard equipment all the time again. Its really as fast as operating a normal plugin and the timing is just 100% accurate.
